  • Looking for old Marshall 2205 schematic

    Hi all,

please could anybody point me to a schematic for a JCM800 / 2205 Lead from 1983? The only schematic I can find is from 1988 and has a CA3046 in it for the switching stuff.
The amp on my bench has discrete transistors for the switching and four single diodes instead of the clipping recto bridge.
I assume there is not much difference between the circuits, but a correct schematic would be nice.

    Thanks!
    Albert

    Albert,

The schematic is attached below (the link is http://www.schematicheaven.com/marsh...v_50w_4210.pdf), and it's also available on page 695 of the 4.1 edition Tube Amp Book. There may be some differences from the amp on your bench.

Thanks Ray, that's the right one!
I'd never looked for a 4210 with a 2205 in front of me...

I guess I'll never understand the Marshall system of numbers

      Cheers,
      Albert
