  • Need supplier for Vox AD50VT PT

I have a Vox Valvetronix AD50VT in the shop with an open PT primary. Both fuses are good. Obviously the PT just died. I'm wondering (since the comparable model is selling for $399 on MF) if this baby is worth repairing. Can any of you guys tell me where you get your Valvetronix parts so I can get a price quote for my customer? Also, do any of you have a legible schematic on this amp or the specs on the PT? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Barry

Any authorized Korg/Marshall/Vox service center in the US can order one for you. The distributor is extremely difficult to talk with unless you are one of their service centers.

A list of authorized VOX servicers can be found at VOX USA Service Centers

    The part number is V904050029.

Expect to pay up to $32.75 plus shipping expense.

As far as schematics go, service centers are under non-disclosure agreements not to release technical service information. However, you might be able to get the service center to ask permission from the distributor to release it to you.

    Good luck!

      Thanks Techineer,

I'll give a local service center a call on Monday.

          3 month wait for trannie

Ok, the best I could do was parts is parts who told me that the PT would be 8 to 12 weeks delivery time. That's a real long time.

In the mean time, another AD50VT came in for repair with a good PT and I was able to determine the voltages of the PT secondary. They are as follows:

          2 Orange wires = 6.3VAC
          2 Blue wires = 6.69VAC
          Red-Black-Red = 65-0-65

So the obvious question is if there is another amp PT with the same outputs as this one that I could get my hands on sooner? Anyone have any ideas
