  • Bridge Bad, Would You Replace Regulators?

I'm working on a SS power amp & one of the diodes in the rectifier bridge is shorted (The other 3 test good). 2 of the 3 secondary wires (the center tap & ac+) heated up to the point of cracking the solder joints and needed to be re-soldered. The next things in line after the bridge are 2 voltage regulators - LM337T & LM317T. Is best practice to replace the regs in a situation like this? The filter caps measure good on the cap checker.

The regs are .55 & .43 each at Mouser. Sounds like a good insurance policy to me. Any advice would be great.

I wired in a bridge that I had handy & the amp works great with a working bridge. Full rated output clean into 4 ohms now. Time to place another Mouser order.
