  • Behringer vintager GM110 troubles

    Hello friends
I'm having some serious problems with my Behringer amp, when playing chords it became to sound extremely unclean and false even with the clearest possible settings.

Later on I noticed the power IC/transistor was a bit loose and missing some screws which I later found on the loudspeaker magnet
I re-tightened it to the chassis but it didn't get any better sounding and some days later it's gone stone dead.
Now it lights up, i can hear a small hum, the speaker is ok but no sound at all.

I would be very thankful for any help with schematics, known problems and possible solutions if you know anything about this amp.

    Power IC

My guess would be that the power IC got hot because it was not secured to the heat sink.
Put a new power IC in.

My guess would be to plug the guitar into the FX return - any sound? How abnout the powr amp in jack - any sound? Now plug into the fron of hte amp, and run a cord from FX send to some other amp - is the send jack sending anything?
