  • help!(faulty behringer bx1200)

I have a bx1200 for repair.o/p chip i.c.3 is overheating and there is aprox.
32v d.c. present at speaker o/p.fault persisted after replacing i.c.3,would welcome any advice as I cannot obtain a schmatic.

DO not connect a speaker load.

Are both main power rails present? I have no idea what they are, 30-40 volts or something. Are both low voltage rails present? +/-15v for the op amps.

There are two output devices in parallel, did you replace BOTH of them? Highly recommended that you do.

And pin 10 if the 3886 is the input pin. Is there DC voltage sitting on it?
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

many thanks for your advice!yes main supply rails present and +/-15v
present at respectve regulators(though different pin config. is this correct
for lm7815a&7915a)no d.c. at pin 10 but -8v on pin 9(-v in) wondered is
this significant,as d.c. at o/p. is neg and i have no diagram.will have to obtain
second "3886" to replace it.would be grateful for any more advice if this
sheds any more light on my problem.again thanks!
