cheers for the testing offer steve, I think i will get another pair from W. I'll make local inquires to see if I can get the tubes tested/measured somewhere else first though. these tubes are in danger of getting frequent flyer miles.

The 10 ohmers are fine as the only thing that changes is the decimal place.
In some situations when using powertube distortion mismatched tubes can have a more desirable effect and produce more even order harmonics than closely matched sets but then again you don't want to be in crossover and not red plating either. Just something to consider.
