does anyone know what brand of speaker was in the old vintage roland cube 60 guitar amps, the one I have is the off whit or creamy colour one and it has a 12 inch Celestion 15 ohm driver. the reason i ask is because the sound of the amp is very bassy and muffed compared with my newish cube 30. Also does anyone have a schematic for the vintage cube 60?

    Thankyou very much

The original speaker was unlabelled (or labelled Roland) but many say it was OEM made by Pioneer for them.
From what I remember they were quite similar to a regular Eminence of that era, which makes sense.
      So try one.
Or plug in an approppriate external speaker.
They need an 8 ohm unit; a 16 ohm one will provide 1/2 power.
Besides, if it's a PA type speaker, it will lack the bright loud punchy sound typical guitar speakers offer.
Those fine little Rolands were quite similar (circuit wise) to a simplified version JC120 of that era, even including the poor distortion.(compare them side by side)
Google the schematic, it's posted on a couple places .
Of course, *all* 30 y.o. amps benefit from a contact/pot/switch cleaning.
