Help with Marshall Please

Hey guys-

I have a SS Marshall MG50FDX amp. Every once in awhile I'll plug the guitar in and there is hardly any sound. you have to turn the volume up hight o hear anything. I'll tinker with the jack and pots and eventually it will function as normal.

When this happens I just unplug/ plug i the amp cable and after awhile of that she will work at full volume. Today I played with all pots and footswtich and after 5 minutes of playing she turned on.

any ideas on this?

It may be a bad input jack or the soldering of it.

It may be a bad input jack or the soldering of it.

These do have a jack issue due to being plastic. So is it possible to have a bad input jack and still hear your guitar, slightly, through the amp?
