Ampeg Gemini II can cap values

Hi Folks. A newbie here with (I hope) a simple question. I'm repairing an Ampeg Gemini II G-15 amp. The can capacitor got fried and I can't read the #'s very well to order a replacement. It looks like '40,40,40 mFd. Can't read the voltages. The can is 4" in length and 1 1/4" or so in diameter. If some kind soul could make the effort to give me the needed values for the cap, I can get this baby working and not be lookin' over my shoulder for the curling clouds of black smoke I fear to see at each gig!

The amp does work and is, otherwise, in excellent condition. Accordingly, I would be happy to provide answers to others on this amp to the limit of my ablities.

There are different G-15 circuits. I've got the 7591 / 7199 version. You can find a schematic for that one on this thread. My bad--linked the wrong thread initially, it's correct now (schematic gif is down the page.)

That version uses a 40/40/40 can, also. But two sections are wired in a parallel for an 80uF cap. Actually--who ever drew the arrows on the schematic pointed them right at the two initial filters (40uF left, 80uF right.) The subsequent caps in the filter are NOT can caps--they are axial caps inside the chassis.

Actually, the "joe piazza" schematic (from schematicheaven) shows a 30uF (OT CT) and a 40uF (screens) as the first two HV taps. It seems more likely to me that those would be the can (rather than the three 40uFs below the speaker in the schem--but your amp might be completely different than mine...)

I've never owned or seen a 6L6 G-15, but I gotta wonder if 30uF wasn't mis-copied from 80uF on the original. One way to tell for sure (if you have a 6L6)--are two of the can sections connected in parallel? If not, then my guess is wrong, and the "piazza" schematic is correct.

I just replaced mine a month or so ago with a 525V can cap from AES... Good luck, it's a great amp.
