I have a solid state amp that has a reverb tank mounted in the bottom of the cabinet. I was playing the other day and suddenly i thought my amp blew. The lights on the amp were more dim and all that was coming out of the speaker was a loud hum. No noise from the guitar or anything else. After a few minutes of troubleshooting i unplugged the reverb tank and the amp worked fine. without the tank plugged in it the amp sounds normal minus the reverb obviously, if i plug it back in the dimmed led's and loud hum come back. Looking inside the tank there are just 3 springs and two small transformers. Is there a way to test these to find where the problem is?
