  • 5150 Channel switching

So my 5150 doesnt switch channels too well, when I switch channels it makes loud pops and then sometimes it makes a loud pop and both of the channel lights turn off and its stuck on the clean channel. I was told that this is a common problem with these amps and I wanted to know what part I would need and how I could fix it. Thanks in advance.

Common problem? I don't think so, not in my experience. Are you using the footswitch? If so, resolder the footswitch jack on the amp, and explore the cable and FS itself for broken connections.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

even without the footswitch it wont switch channels and also when I hit the the crunch on the amp sometimes the rhythm channel breaks up.
