Crate GX80 Channel switching

Dear Everyone,

A friend of mine gave me an old Crate GX80 guitar amp and told me if I can repair it, I can keep it for myself. When I plug in my guitar and play, the channels start switching from channel one to channel two and back again constantly even without pressing the channel selector switch or the footswitch. Can someone kindly let me know what can be the problem.

Clean the contacts on the footswitch jack.

Check the solder on the panel switch.

Check the panel switch contacts with a meter.
