i've got a ampeg vl 502 that i really enjoy, but like an idiot i saw the switches on the back of the head that adjust the impedence and decided to lower the impedence on the back of the head from 8 to 4, and on the cabinet from 16 to four...
it sounded awesome, I was able to get a real nice tone with a lot more volume than i had before.
but after about 15 minutes of playing the volume just cut down to about 10% of what it was. the tone sounds about the same just way quiet
the only other variables i can think of was that i had played on it last night at a bar. and this all happened right after i hooked it up for the first time in my room about 15 minutes ago.
What do you guys think?
