  • SNAKES!!!

Oh my, got a Hot Rod Deluxe here from one of my dealers. Covered in snakeskin tolex. Tres chic. I am not usually one for the eye candy, but I think I like this thing.

Now I still need to get me one of those Hello Kitty guitars.

...and maybe some pink angora wool covered boots would fit.

Bless you Doug, for still being able to get excited over the way something looks when it comes into the shop.

I'm just jaded. Too many NAMM shows I guess. The first time I got a Blues Jr. in here in the Custom Shop Sunburst finish, the cynical side of my brain said "Candy-Ass!!!".

        I guess there's still hope...maybe.

I designed a little harp amp a while back, to be covered in tooled leather - or at least faux leather - in the style of like a wing-tip shoe. never built it, but I liked the look.

Looked like it belonged on a Warrant tour circa 1990. Pass.....

Funny stuff!.... I had a Polish friend that wallpapered his amps! I didn't know how I could enlighten him??? A very proud person and a nice guy.... but not who you want as a decorator. He also sold left over pieces of wall paper at his garage sale. ho ho ho......

You know, all of this stuff is standard fare from Kayline Processing, the company in NJ that makes Kayhide (Tolex was a General Rubber trademark), which is what you are looking at. I have the sample swatch book right here. Much more than ol' "Henry Ford Black".
