5150 ii...super bad feedback!

so i've been dealing with my 5150 ii's feedback for a while now and i don't know whether i need different pickups in my guitar or what.

i have emg 81/85's in my viper-400 (2004)...and i've been trying to use my boss ns2 with the damn thing and it's not working. any good rack compressors that should help this? thanks!

Gate and Noise Suppression.

The Rocktron Super C Rackmount is great. Cleans up peadl noise too. You can get one used for around $100. Maybe, you should just try using a little less gain on your amp. Also, If your using a pedal with a gain/output knob, then I would turn that down or work with it. Do you get your distortion from a pedal? Some pedal's can be hard to tame. I love the EMG-81's for metal. Just my thoughts and my personal experience. Good Luck. Mike

What starts it and what stops it?

well

it's different with a schecter guitar that has passive seymour duncans in it. it pretty much just stops squealing. but i love my guitar because it has such great tone!

i just bought the Super C...so i guess we'll see how that goes.
