I have a a mini Brute II newer version that when I pick the strings hard the speaker cracks. I am also looking for a repair ship near Palm Springs without going to Polytone in Holloywood.

If your comfortable taking the speaker out, I've seen a couple of them where an errant washer is magnetically attached to the speaker frame and close enough to the speaker cone or spider where it will vibrate against the speaker at certain sound levels causing a buzz sound.
Thought it worth mentioning, easy fix. -

Did I luck out heavy here on this deal . The unit came in mint condition with 2 Polytone speaker cabs and a Shure Bros. PE585 high hz mic too ! All for $18.00 !
I contacted Polytone about speaker cover replacement foam and was told :
" too old "
No parts available , as if I didn't know that was coming heh heh .
I worked 7 years in a audio repair shop and saw a lot of these Polytones over the years come in all quite repairable too . Wish the shop was still around it was in Indio nearby .
So .........Rick ya gig around the Palm Springs area ? I used to do Peabody's a lot .

I have a gig on the first and I have beenj using a chessy Radio Shack foam replacement this is great timing . Now I get it to lok like it original look , gettiong o ut the Armoral now !
