First of all, thanks for everyones help and input in the past. I have a M80 chorus for repair (2X12 combo) Dated May 1991(pair of mono & pair of stereo effect jacks, headphone jack on face panel) I have replaced/fixed the obvious issues(broken input jacks and broken wire to the reverb tank. Everything seems to be working on the amp with the exception of the Chorus function. The switch operates and the panel light indicator functions but I am not getting the chorus feature. Could someone suggest some possible parts that would be the issue. Past posts seem to suggest C31, U6, U8. I am not very knowledgeable on SS amp diagnosis, but can follow directions and do basic testing. Thanks for any help. I can supply more info as needed... Rod

Man, I love this forum! I am finding out more and more that if I search through the old...."already discussed" threads, I can usually figure problems out. An older thread discussed that the chorus function basically came thru the right channel in these amps. I had not even checked the speakers....and you guessed it...the right speaker is blown! Ran those leads to the good speaker and "got chorus". Man, I,m having a good day now

Yep! Well said! I know I would buy it. I mounted a new Jensen C12R in the M80 and everything works as it should. I had the Jensen in my shop for another project. It is rated at about 25W. The speakers in the M80 appear to be Fender Emminance (35Watters). Anyone see some potential issues with the mismatch? Both are 8 0hm speakers. What watt is the M80 rated at?
Thanks Enzo...for the schematic info!Last edited by retrorod; 04-22-2010, 01:02 PM.
