My amp immediately blows a fuse when this is plugged in... but the moment I unplug it, it turns on without a problem...

Anyone know what this piece is doing exactly and how important it is that it be plugged in?

Better yet, does anyone know what the problem may be an how I could go about fixing it??

it's the white piece with the three black wires connected to it incase that wasn't clear

i haven't tryed playing with it unplugged because I'm worried about damaging something

It's the power amp module, and it's likely shorted. Call 800-590-0014 (Parts is Parts) and see if they have one.
