Anyone had this problem? I am supposing a DC blocking cap in the circuit somewhere might be developing an issue. Any insights?

Boss TU2 LED's make noises through the amp

This "zipper noise", caused by the LED multiplexer (you can hear it follow the pattern of the LED's firing), is normal for the TU-2, and is more noticeable when you have it in the beginning of the chain with subsequent gain boost/distortion. The circuit uses FET switching, so there is no true bypass/mute mode going on. If you are playing clean, you will not notice it, but it is definitely noticeable if you are slammin' the gain.
There is no "fix" for this from Roland. The way I see it, if you are in a situation that is going to required gain boost/distortion, it's probably so loud that no one will notice anyway. The other option might be to place it at the END of the EFX chain, instead of in-front as most people do. It is also possible to build a separate true-bypass box for your TU-2.
