I am recapping a Guild Thunderstar and I need 450v 47uF, 400v 47uF, and others. I was wondering if you know any reasonable online stores for caps.
I only know about Parts-Express and they seem a little high priced.

What do you consider high prices?

Parts Express has Xicon 47uf/450v radials for $2.58.

A quick look at tubesandmore.com finds 47uf/450v generic for $3.60 each. Illinois 47uf/500v at $5.65.

You are looking for electrolytics, I assume. Trying to find film caps that large will indeed be expensive.

I looked at Tubesandmore and found this:
      Capacitor - F&T Axial Lead Electrolytic, 47 µF @ 500 VDC $7.85
Looks right but no temp spec given, extra 100v makes it bigger, and I would prefer radial.

Are -40° to +85° C caps ok for use in a tube amp and if not where can I find the better caps?
*Cost is not my main concern; I just want to avoid overpaying.
*Would like to one stop shop
      *Thanks

Check also tubedepot.com. They have a lot of that stuff, and tedweber.com has a lot too!

tubedepot.com looks good, they have llinois 47µF / 500V however they don't list the temp spec

tedweber.com sounds like the place, thanks
All values are rated at 105 degrees C and Cap Can™ Capacitors, nice.

There are a slew of them at Mouser, some radial, some axial. I've got 47u 400v and 450v selected, but you can play and find others.

Thanks but every purchase from Mouser involves a backorder.

I hope you're wrong about Mouser, I just ordered a handful of Burr Brown low noise opamps for a Peavey project. I was hoping to put it back together next week.

Their stock is massive. Out of the 500 different part numbers I've ordered from them, I've had about 5 backorded. Inventory on hand is listed in every part detail page, including backorder. You can view delivery dates by clicking on the part, then clicking on the link "view delivery dates". Attached is a screen shot for the cheapest 47u, 400v electrolytic they've got. I wouldn't order it, you won't have it for your project until the end of summer. But they've got one that's 30 cents more expensive that's in stock.

Na, just me lol. They always have only 1/2 of my needs in stock and I prefer one shipping charge. The caps I just looked up 108C are backorder items.

I may decide on -40° to +85° C then any store will work.

Now that I have found, especially now that I'm starting to get into pedals. They don't have all of the semiconductors I need.

Just got a confirmation E-mail, with number, said will ship tomorrow. I should have the cabinet built by the time the opamps get here. Curious to see if they really are going to make much difference.

Only if you don't check the "in-stock" status when you make your order. Just a thought. They tell you that if you look or ask. In the search pages, check the box for "stocked" only and look at your order form for in-stock or backordered before you click the "submit order" button. It's there. I use this all the time.
Amazing!! Who would ever have guessed that someone who villified the evil rich people would begin happily accepting their millions in speaking fees!

Oh, wait! That sounds familiar, somehow.

Mouser 500v 105 degree caps will be restocked sometime in July, Parts Express somewhat sooner. I already ordered almost everything from tedweber.com, very nice place so far.

                            Thanks Trevorus and everyone else.

EDIT: The caps are cheap but the shipping compensates.

No prob! I like Weber. They are just one state over from me, and I like supporting local/semi-local people if possible. They also make great stuff.
