discovered at practice last night that my cab gets no sound when plugged into the regular 8 ohm jack, but it works fine when plugged into the 16 ohm jack. i didn't crank it from the 16 ohm jack because i didn't want to overload the head. i talked to my buddy who has been an amp guy for 8 years, and he says my 4 to 8 ohm switch is broken and i need to replace it. how much would one of these cost me? where could i order one from? is it something simple i could put in myself, or should i just go ahead and pay my friend to do it?

Why don't you pay your friend to do it this time but maybe watch what he does and see what tidbits of info you can take for next time and DIY?Comment
