is there a difference between a NE5532N and a NE5532 chip?

anybody know? i need to replace a NE5532N, i can get a NE5532...is this a straight swap?

One is in a plastic DIP and the other is a ceramic DIP? WHich doesn't matter.

Look for packaging differences. A surface mount will not make you happy when you try to install it on a through hole board.

Otherwise, any 5532 dual op amp will do. Think of it like a 6L6. All the extra letters don't mean much when asking if it will work in the circuit.
