blue voodoo 120 problem

Hi all i'm an owner of a blue voodoo 120 head. It had problems with the power tubes not working sometimes and after taking it to a repairer found that this problem had been solved but now the amp is lacking in volume tone and gain and also can't be turned up at all or it starts to squeal!! I used to be able to blow the paint off the walls with this amp...help

You took it to a shop, and they fixed some problem for you, but you got the amp back, and it is not working correctly. Is that right? Take it back to the shop and point out that it is still not working right. Unless there is some unusual specific agreement beforehand to only fix part of an amp, one assumes a repair shop will deliver the amp back to you working 100%. Give them a chance to correct their oversight.

No good!! the electrics bloke is not as fussy with tone as me (probably due to the fact he isn't a muso and has no clue). My amp still squeals on the distortion channel with nothing even plugged into it at these settings, Gain 10, Bass 10, mid 3, trebble 6 and master volume at 3!! sounds awfull like a dog whistle! If anyone has any ideas i would be forever grateful

Just a question, what does it do with a guitar plugged in and the guitar volume control turned down to zero?

Hi. Yeah i tried it plugged into the guitar with the guitar turned to zero and it still has that high pitch squeal on about 2 to 3 amp master volume
