Tube Amp Crackle - input

Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble with my vox tube amp. There is a crackle after I play a Chord or just a string. It's not a huge crackle just a small trail of one. I'm thinking it's my input jack since when I turn my guitar completely down/or my Volume pedal there is no crackle. It's very frustrating since it's a newer amp. Any help would be great.. I can also post video of what it exactly sounds like if that helps. Also the nut on my input tends to come loose and fall sometimes so maybe that damaged something.

Could be a preamptube with some mechanical looseness. You experienced in opening up amplifiers?

Not that experienced but have had it open to look. what do you recommend?

I just took the nut off my input jack on the amp and tightened it. It doesn't crackle as much now but there is still a faint one. So I'm guessing thats it. Maybe I should open it up to see how loose the input jack really is.
