Say what you will about GW... Kendrick has a good rep for restoration and tube selection for old Fenders. GW IS a salesman first and foremost IMHE, so sometimes he comes across as a snake oil vendor, but he maintains the enthusiasm of a puppy when it comes to amps. I do believe his intentions are good. Expertise is part of the price in that case. If the amp does what you want then it's money well spent IMHO. I've heard a lot of people cut up GW for his technical jargon in print, but I've NEVER heard a complaint about Kendrick service.

My 1964 Fender Bandmaster sounds Great, It has harmonic overtones plays clean and soft or turn the Volume knob and it sings I am happy with it.Before I would take my amps to a "tech" and they would "fix it" But it never sounds like it had its tone..Now I fix my own guitars mod my pedals trouble shoot my amps.I was getting a buzz in my 59 plexi Itwas a bad pot on my frankinstrat....yeh

I know what to mean... I thought it was alot too...Also you have to look at your amp very carefully and tell the tech everything you want done to it or they just fix the one thing...It's really great to Mod your pedals.

GW is the type of guy that will get your amp in for service and then sell you a bigger package. And you'll buy it too. And there's every reason your amp will sound better for it. He know's where to look and what to sell you and though he may sell you something you don't "need" he won't sell you something that won't make what he feels is a real improvement in tone. I didn't spend much $$$ with GW but he was very forthcomming with all his intentions. Because we're both amp guys we talked shop until "I" had to get off the phone. I think he would have gone on all day. He likes the amp game. That counts I think.

amps are sexy....modding pedals is another fav 'o mine. it is easy to sell something to somebody if you know it will improve tone. especially if they have heard you "mods". good stuff.....

It was still worth it.I told him that it would be my clean amp,to play next to my 69 plexi 100 watt. If I took it to someone else it wouldn't sound this good. I almost call it a "magic"amp My volume control is is a tone stack......
