    WHERE in the mixer?

    Is that the remains of a small transistor? WOuld there have been three legs on the bottom instead of the one center one we see here?

    If so I would look at 2SA1316.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

      That looks like a transistor from the mic pre of a Mackie mixer. Enzo is correct...as usual It's a 2SA1316. If it's really blown apart as it appears to be, you'll be needing more than one of them, and usually some other stuff as well. I usually "shotgun" these mic pres when they blow. That would be 2) 2SA1316, 2) SMT transistors (the number escapes me), 2) 1N4148 SMD diodes and usually the opamp associated with them. As difficult as some of these are to get to, it's just not worth the trouble to isolate to the component, and usually there's more than one component.
