  • Little mustard caps

Working on an Ampeg BA-210. It has these little mustard caps in it. Just curious what type they are. They look epoxy coated and are .047uf at 100v axial leaded. They are about the size of your typical 1/2w carbon film resistor.

IF they have a polarity mark - I'm guessing tantalum (solid) made by Kemet though the capacitance seems right for ceramic.......

      They are X7R caps.

No relation to the "mustard" caps at all.....just a similar color. I use those where I need to shunt highs to gnd, not in the signal path. They're just ceramics in an axial pkg.

I just meant mustard in color, didn't mean to allude to them being like the mallory caps. In any case I like how small they are and they're cheap!
