It's not any of the tubes....I have tried known good tubes in all positions and the noise is still there. Speakers are OK...they sound ok with another amp, and the noise is there when the AC30 is plugged into another cabinet.
I chopsticked all the components and solder joints while the amp was running...all OK.
Initially I thought it was a bad speaker....the noise would creep in while a loud power chord was decaying, sounding like a rattling speaker.
I'm thinking something is arcing internally, but i don't know where to start looking. any tips would be greatly appreciated.
