Picked up a used Marshall AVT150H that wasn't working, popped it open and the fuse was blown and the TDA7293 power amp chips were both fried. No big deal. After replacing the fuse and chips with new components, they all fried again immediately on power-up. I don't see anything obviously wrong with any of the other components on the main board. Any ideas where I should look? Or just chalk it up to a bad soldering job and try again?

I had one of those in here about a year ago and replaced the TDA7293's and some other stuff in the driver circuitry and never could get it to power up without rail slamming. Gave it back to the guy, took the loss on the parts.

Just an update, got a pair of SIP sockets for each board so i wouldn't have to resolder the TDA chips every time, and wired every pin with my own wire and skipped the traces on the board. Working fine now. These things are really particular about having good connections to each pin I suppose
