Time to replace pwr tube sockets on a buddy's cherished 1970 Superlead 100. I'd use the Beltons, but they won't fit the hole (cutout is 27mm, beltons are 30mm). I'd prefer the Omron relay socket type where theres the 2 contacts per pin (like the Belton) instead of the "folded" type. Recommendations?

Nothing specific, but the low end cheap socket that Leo installed has lasted 40 years for you.
They all work, so I think it is academic, but I always prefered the old cylinder pins - rolled into a C shape looking down into them - over the flat pins with the slit down the middle (which I think is what you are looking for). To me that wrap around means larger contact surface. Those split pin contacts always make me think "fork ball." As in a baseball pitcher shoving the ball between his fingers to throw it.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
