I don't know how to describe this but when I hit the 5th fret on the 5th string the volume goes up and the amp wants to feed back. What's up with that? How do I fix it. Otherwise sounds great..

Have you tried another speaker and/or cab? Or try another amp into the exsisting speaker.WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

That it does it with two different SOLID body guitars is not what I was expecting. I thought for sure you would write back with a Casino or 335 or some other semi hollow. I figure it to be a resonance issue just the same. I would check preamp tubes first ('cause it's easy) and then try the amp through a different cab AND try the cab theough a different amp to see if there is any wierdness there. A last thought would be a microphonic cap... It's a very unusual problem so you'll need to do these things for analytical reasons. AFAIK this doesn't mate up with any "common" problems."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo
