  • Have four mackie hd1531 powerd speakers all with the same issues, need some help

Ok well they all have blown the 15 inch woofers, and the bass amps all have various shorted mosfets and diodes and so on.
What im wondering is if this is a common problem in the hd1531's. I heard the SD series was plagued with problems.
Also im having a very hard time finding the 200 volt 61 amp mosfet fdp61n20 ive found the most the major online outlets carry this part but its back ordered for months. If anyone knows a source that be great. Or if anyone could suggest a possible substitute for it that be nice
Heres a link to it in the schematic. 0029091-00-C02-SCH.pdf
    Thanks

Did you contact Loud Technologies to see if they had the part?

Don't call after 3PM their time, they stop taking calls at 3. You get a message they are in a meeting or some such, but they have the same "meeting" every day.

Ok yeah the wouldn't sell the part. Id have to buy the entire amp for over 600 dollars. So now I'm really hoping some one can help me with a substitute.

They wouldn;t sell you the part, but did they HAVE the part? If you are not one of their dealers, they may not sell to you, but if they have the part, someone can get it for you.

Mouser has no stock, but does show them on order, with 1900 of them shipping in November, and more to follow, total order almost 9000 pieces. get an order in.

Marshall said they didnt sell the transistors for that unit all i could get was the board, all i know is that.
I really wish i could just wait that long but its not really possible.

Call Fairchild and ask if they can send you some samples. Hey what is there to lose?

                I assume you meant Mackie...

Easiest way is to contact Loud Technologies Inc and ask them for it. Have the serial number from the unit you are working on. They will ask you not to post the schematics online, but usually will send them.
