  • Gibson GA5-T Skaylark Capacitor blew up

Note: I am not an electrician.

Gibson GA5-T Skylark Capacitor blew up. The original cardboard ones were replaced by a tech 5 years ago. I had just finished playing and went to the next room and heard a (make capacitor blowing sound here) came running back in and smoke was pouring out. Immediately pulled the power cord from the wall and took the little guy outside to air out.
Took it apart today and have big wads of paper and black soot all over my wiring and and on the side walls.
One of the two large "CAPACITOR, ELECTROLYTIC, 20/20 µF @ 450 VDC " are destroyed.

    Questions
    1. What would be the best way to clean this mess? I would like to clean this before taking for repair.
    2. Should BOTH of the "CAPACITOR, ELECTROLYTIC, 20/20 µF @ 450 VDC " be replaced at the same time by my repairman?

    Thanks in advance.
Working...
