LM3886T?

Howdy,
I am replacing a LM3886T (Not isolated -metal tab), can I use a LM3886TF (isolated
no metal tab) in its place?

Sure, why not? The only downside is that you might conceivably have to find a longer screw.

It is a hair thicker, and the screw hole is a little larger. Just wondering if I still attach it the same way with heatsink goop ?

Just use heat sink compound and no insulator. I only purchase "F"-type (Full-Pack) IC's now where available, because I hate mica insulators, and even more, sil-pads.
