    Which AVT?

Plug a cord from FX send to FX return. ANy help?

Plug the guitar into the FX return, us that clean and strong, or sound like the problem?

Plug into the front and send a cord from FX send to some other amp and speaker. How does that FX send sound coming out over there? Normal or like the problem?
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Not to be condescending, but have you tried the obvious? Plugged straight in with a different, known good cable and and tried a different speaker with a different speaker cable? If you still have weak output after that it could be a lot of things. I had a Marshall amp a while back that did this and discovered that they never soldered one leg of the master volume pot. It had worked for 10 years with no problem, then it started losing power intermitantly. Then it seemed to have about half power wthno bottom end. Maybe a good visual inspection is in order under bright light. Resolder problem areas. But this is just a guess. It could be a coupling cap or a number of things. Don't hurt yourself if you do not have the basic skills.

don't worry about being condescending it all cool
yep ive tried different cables and cabs etc, but the avt is a combo so i can try different cabs via the ouput jack on the back but its not an ideal solution.....but you mentioned haveing a good look at it under a bright light , which im defintaly going to to because under the last inspection of the circuit board i found that one of the capicitors wasn't solderd in at all in fact i could pull it out with my hands with no force
so maybe i'll find something else this time round , im fine with baisc elecronic skills too and i have my father whos an electrcian to help me out
we recently replaced the chip located on the heatsink which fried with no problems im satified thats working properly know
but something else is effecting the output and tone of the amp
