Hi Folks,
I need a 5A5 Pro Amp schematic.
I have everything but that, and this amp does not match them at all.
Trying to restore a badly restored and modded 5A5 Pro a friend bought on e-bay.
The closest schematic I can find is the "1946 Pro" on Schem Heaven, but even this is off.
A few notes:
-No electrolytic can caps, all caps are mounted inside on the board.
-It uses a field coil magnet speaker - appears original but reconed.
-OT is mounted to the speaker - no holes to mount it anywhere else - appears original.
-There is a fifth tube socket that apppears original where you would expect the speaker jacks to be. Looking at the "1946" schematic, I think this tube socket was used to supply the OT and field coil (OT and field coil wired to a male connector, plugged into the socket).
Someone has rewired this socket as an extra tube gain stage - poorly.
Anyone have experience with this amp/vinage?
Anyone have a correct schematic?
Thanks,
Derek
