Fender Musicmaster Bass amp fuse holder

Should I put a fuse holder in my 70's Fender Musicmaster Bass amp? if so should I install and inline or drill a hole for a typical fuse holder. Oh, what amperage fuse should I use? Fast or slow blow? Thanks!
