I have a 63 reverb rocket that is driving me crazy. I replaced all the caps as the amp was not running when I got it as well as the tubes. I have a slight motor boating sound when everything is turned down and if I pull tubes v1,v2,v3 there is no change however when i take out the phase inverter it stops (dah!!) Voltages all are in line with specs however on v1 it is high (330v) when the tremolo is turned on, but come down to 175v when the switch is engaged.
Having said that the tremolo really doesn't work either except very slightly.
I have checked all grounds and they are good and I have tested all resistors in the circut and they are all within 5% of value.
Anyone out there got any ideas??
