    Strange, got a Peavey TMax bass head that makes a squeeling noise when the front preamp boards are flexed/tapped or if the tube/solid state switch is pushed.
    I cleaned and reflowed the cable connections, any suspect solder connections and still can't find where it's coming from.
    It's not the preamp tube, it's definitely something physical in the front preamp board(s) assemblies.
    Anyone run into this before?
    I'm checking the opamps now, thought I'd take a breather and see if this problem has come up before.

    Argh....
    Just those stupid grey cables they use to connect boards like in the 5150 etc.
