  • Peavey Vypyr 75 question

    Hello Everyone,

I've got a Peavey Vypyr 75 that, when recording to a computer via the USB output records a "choppy sound" heard when played back. My question is: Could this be "software" problem with the computer instead of malfunction with the amp. Or maybe a firmware problem with the amp itself. Any thoughts anyone?

    Thanks,
    Dehn.

Can your computer take the audio in via USB and allow you to monitor it in real time on the computer's speakers? If so, does it sound right in them? If the computer makes proper sound through its speakers while playing, and is getting its signal only through USB, then if the recording sounds different, I wouldn;t think it was the Vypyr's fault.

      Thanks Enzo,

For replying to my question, I now have software on my computer to test and repair these kind of requests.
The amp needed a new USB/AUX C.B.A. the folks at Peavey were very helpful.
      Thanks again!
