Question about power consumption (Mesa Cal+ 50 head)

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Mesa Boogie Caliber+ 50W amp - 2 x 6L6, 4 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AT7. I'm in continental Europe but it is wired for US voltage.

I'm currently using it with a 500W 220V-to-110V step-down transformer which works well with the amp but is very heavy and noisy. I've found a 200W converter in a local store that is much more portable and quiet.

What I am interested in is will 200W be enough?

I couldn't find any info about the power consumption of the amp and Mesa still haven't replied to my e-mail. The fuse is 2.5ma and the amp is wired for 117V but I guess the amp consumes much less than the 292.5W max.

A 50W tube amp on full blast consumes about 120-150W. So the 200W thing should be OK.
