Before i ask my question i would like to thank all who helped me fix my 50 watt jmp last week,if not for you guys i'd still be spinning my wheels. Thanks. Now on to the new question. 78 mark II master lead 100 watt voltage selector. I'ts the same as the ohmage selector, looks wise.I'ts just missing, you know the one with the little window, and the two pins in the back. The ohmage one from my amp fits perfectly. Can i just get a second one and use it. Thanks, TVJR.

    Hmmm?

My newer one (80?) wasn't like that. It had slotted discs you could turn with a guitar pick. But IIRC my older one (can't even guess the year) had the window selectors and they were the same for both voltage and impedance.

Thanks to all for responding, the selector in question is the old type wih the little window, like the impedance selector.I just wanted to make sure that they are interchangable. I will purchase a new one .Of the old type. While I think of it ,on the chassis, looking from the back, far left there's what appears to be a potentiometer shaft sticking up through the chassis? solid shaft? Any idea what this is for .never saw one before. Thanks, TVJR

It's a mod of some kind. Marshall didn't put that there. At the far left it will be part of the preamp and probably not a bias adjustment. I say tweak it around and see what happens.

Chuck you were correct It's an extra tube in the pre amp stage . Extra gain? As far as the voltage selector, thats all been disconnected and all the wires have been taped off. It's running 120 only. Somebodys been in there with a vengence.I havn't turned it on yet, all looks ok . I'll try to get a clear photo to send for all to see. Thanks,TVJR

Dear members,i'm sending a photo of addtional wiring in the jmp 100 watt head. I assume the extra tube is a mod and some sort of extra gain? Wadda you think. TVJR

                      Hi tvjr

Your image link is entered now as a file name. If you want to display an image, you need to put it someplace with a URL, like Snapfish or Photobucket, and then link to that.

                      For example:

That should come up as a picture.

Now without clicking on the IMAGE thing, here is the code for that photo:

Note it is an actual web address for a picture.
