I've been playing around with a Cube 20xl and when using headphones it tends to clip at any reasonable volume. I've tried several pairs of headphones and its the same each time.
Direct to the speaker is fine.
The headphone / record out is a compromise of line level and feeding headphones. Something that many manufacturers do with no issue. The line out does a pretty good job, no distortion or other issues. But using the JC clean channel on anything above midway on the volume and the signal to the headphone clips. I've tried using headphones from 32 Ohm to 180 ohm with the same results. The volume just prior to clipping is quite low .
Has anyone experienced this on any of the current cube models ?
