  • Gemini VI GS-15R Schematic question - balance the output tubes

    Hello!
This is my first post to this website, but I sure have learned lots of interesting stuff reading in here for the past couple of months.
I recently acquired an old Ampeg Gemini and am restoring it. I got the Joe Piazzi schematics to help me. I have found a few components are different (possibly earlier techs work), but one thing I saw in the schematic is a 100 ohm potentiometer to balance the cathode current between the two tubes. The 12, 15 and 22 schematics do not show this potentiometer, only the 15R schematic. However - my amp does not have the part. It has the regular bias voltage adjustment, but not the balance control tyeing the two power tubes together.
Has anyone ever seen this circuit in practice with the "extra" Pot to balance the tubes?
I am thinking of adding one in ............ and was wondering about the best layout, etc.

Yes, My GEmini VI has a pot in one of the holes on the back. I believe it is a "hum ballance" pot. Just a guess though. I have not gotten there yet. I'm trying to figutr out where the capicitors are supposed to go.
