    Ha! Why didn't Fender put a retainer clip on the Rectifier? 2 times I've seen Deluxe's that didn't fire up and I looked in the back & the rect tube was lying in the bottom of the amp.

      By the way... I can't see for sure but it looks like the black ground lead is on the positive end of the first blue filter cap on that board (in that third picture showing the black cap on the board). If yes, it is installed backwards. That's a bad thing and will create all kinds of serious problems.

      Are you saying the link between the two positive ends had fallen out and the negative ends are grounded?

        The ground was OK, and the link between the first two caps positive poles was sandwiched between the two board sections and it fell out in my hands. They're the first two that the B+ sees and they're in parallel.
