  • Help troubleshooting treble pot issue

I'm hoping that smoeone can help me figure out this problem. The amp is a Lifco Cobra Mark II. The treble knob does nothing. If I put a meter on the pot I can see the values change as I rotate the knob so I'm thinking the pot is good. I don't have a proper schematic for this amp. One person online says it's almost the same as a fender deluxe circuit. I've been looking at the Deluxe diagrams and I can't see what the problem might be. If someone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.

Replace that little red-brown ceramic disc cap on the tag board, that feeds the treble control. It's probably 270pf, something like that. Use a 400v or higher. And check continuity from it through the treble pot.
