took the amp to a tech... and he fixed it.. he said it was the tube heaters had gone bad.. and I told him about the peavey XXX mod where you swap out the 100ohm screen grid resistor, and put in 700ohm 5 watt resistors to acomidate for KT77's and el34's and he called peavey, and they said it is an approved warranty mod.. so I told him to go ahead and install that in there while he has the amp.
I should get it back in a week.. and he said the cost of the repair should be about $160
