Well, after 2 years as a practice amp at home it has finally developed a small problem. When I turn the amp on and increase the gain 2 switch to play some gritty sounds, a hum begins. If I increase volume per the 2nd gain volume it gets REAL loud. BUT, at this point, if I simply turn up the 1st gain knob to full and the Volume knob to full that same hum can be heard but it is no where near as loud as when increasing the 2nd gain knob.
Any ideas on whats happening to my favorite little amp? I would like to fix it if possible. I don't have a scope readily available but a meter I do have and soldering tools etc.
So, can someone give me a shout as whats going on and maybe how to fix it soon?
