  • Peavey 5150 combo OT specifications

Hi everyone. 1st time post here.

I google thru the forum n the web, trying to look for the specifications of the output transformer of 5150 combo but have no luck.

The amp is rated at 60W max, apply 2 6L6GC in push-pull.

Anyone got idea, what are the specifications of the replacement OT? Assume I need to get a replacement OT from Hammond.

Even better if someone got the actual specifications of the original OT from Peavey.

    Thanks in advance.

      Thanks Jazz.

So the idea is select the OT output power rating according to the max. output power right?

Surprisingly, the 5150 i got in hand is fitted with Hammmon 1650F (25W). Anything wrong if i use this OT instead?

If you do use the undersized OT, don't turn the amp all the way up!
That being said, it is definitely not the correct OT.
        The wattage is low.
        The primary impedance is high.
The max dc per side is low.
        Sigh.

Thanks Jazz. I think the 1650P is a good candidate. I just wonder why would someone put the 25W OT in a 60W amp.

              Haha
So i guess 1st step is to order the RIGHT OT, and keep the 25W OT for other use.
