I just got this randall rg 80 es head and it makes a steady high pitch squeal no matter what the volume as soon as i plug it into my speakers. any ideas of where to start for repair??

Ive got an Rg-100 and mine did the samething when I brought it home. I found the reverb hooked up backwards and I cleaned the pots with contact cleaner before I put it back together and its worked fine ever since. The best 35.00 amp you could ask for. -
I figured it out...on the back of the circuit board there was a tiny white scuff breaking a circuit so i jumped it with a wire and completed the circuit and she works now.Comment
